Update from Dr. Denise Hall and Team:
Announcement of the Phased Reopening of Our office
To our valued Hall Orthodontics patient family:
Hi everyone! This is Dr. Dense Hall. I hope you and your family are in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past few months, and the Hall Orthodontics team and I are looking forward to resuming our habits and routine. While many things have changed, one thing remains the same, our commitment and safety to our patients. I wanted to update all of you on the new office guidelines.
As you may know, we were given the approval by Georgia Dental Association(GDA) and the American Association of Orthodontists(AAO), to resume our practice with certain modifications to provide the very safest conditions for your orthodontic care.
Hall Orthodontics is dedicated to Safety First and we have always rigorously followed infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association(ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). I have been closely following data provided by these agencies and weighed information regarding COVID-19. From the gathered data and information, updated office guidelines have been developed to protect the health of our patients, staff, and community.
Our office will begin our phased reopening with reduced occupancy on May 4, 2020. I appreciate your patience and understanding as the team will be contacting you over the next few weeks to reschedule appointments that were missed during our closure.
In effort to keep our patients and our team safe, some operational changes have been made.
CHANGES YOU WILL SEE IN THE OFFICE:
Prior to your appointment, you will receive an email with a health questionnaire and consent form that will need to be signed and returned by the adult patient or the parent or guardian on behalf of a minor patient. If you are having difficulty in filling out the forms digitally, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you. These questions will be repeated at the appointment and the patient's temperature will be taken.
Parents please remain in your car during your child's appointment. Or feel free to take a walk around the complex, if the weather is nice!
The waiting room is temporarily closed to follow current CDC and OSHA guidelines. Only those persons with a scheduled appointment is permitted to enter the office. Exceptions for younger patients and patients with special needs can be made. If the parent or guardian has any concerns or additional questions a team member will be happy to discuss via text or phone. **New patients can have one parent attend the appointment with them.
Upon arriving, a team member will be outside to greet, check in patient for their appointment and give instructions.
We will take each patient's temperature and verify that the consent form and health assessment form have both been read and signed.
If the health assessment is approved the patient will be allowed to enter the building for the scheduled appointment. If any symptoms are present, i.e. fever(99.6 degrees or higher), cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, etc. the patient cannot be seen, and the appointment will be rescheduled. Please do not eat or drink hot or cold beverages 30 minutes prior to your appointment, due to changes that can occur with the body temperature.
Patients need to wear a mask before entering the office per CDC guidelines.
The toothbrush station is temporarily closed. We request each patient please BRUSH his/her teeth at home before the appointment.
We have added physical acrylic barriers throughout the office.
Limiting the volume of patients (no more than 4 at a time) allows us to keep patients at a safe distance from one another.
We have acquired 6 Medify MA-18 Medical Grade H13 True HEPA Filtration Air Purification units for the clinical area.
We will soon have a WFTD Electric ULV Fogger Portable Disinfection Sprayer Aerosol Atomizer to fumigate the office nightly
Our team has undergone extra training to work in the new environment, as well as all the recommended PPE. The team members will also receive daily temperature checks.
The Hall Orthodontics Team and I are so happy to see everyone soon! We have missed each and every one of you! Thank you for being part of our patient family! We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, families and friends.
Blessings to you all and WELCOME BACK!
