Designing Your Child's Future Smile

We believe in proactive design, not reactive fixes. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a child's first orthodontic visit by age 7. This early screening isn't about getting braces right away; it's about imagining the future.

By seeing your child early, we can discover the unique map of their smile and jaw development. We identify subtle issues before they become complex problems, unlocking the potential for a healthier, more confident smile with simpler, more effective treatment. It's the key to transforming their future oral health.

Once all (or most) of the adult teeth come in, Dr. Hall shifts to a focus on "Phase II" treatment. Our goal here is to fine-tune alignment and correct the bite. Also called "comprehensive treatment," Phase II most often includes braces or Invisalign® aligners. By building on the foundation established in Phase I, we can deliver a more efficient, predictable path to a beautiful, long-lasting smile.

Our evaluation is a deep dive into your child's unique oral structure. We look beyond just the teeth to assess potential crowding, bite misalignments (like open bites or overbites), and how the jaw is growing.

From there, we design a "Phase I" plan. This isn't a one-size-fits-all solution; it's a custom strategy that may involve interceptive appliances or preventive care. This approach allows us to guide jaw growth and correct foundational issues, creating the ideal environment for their permanent teeth and paving the way toward confidence for years to come.
